Fog

Fog
That's the fog and it's rolling in. This is for Illustration Friday, the topic is, ummm, fog. I just couldn't resist a cluster of clouds with faces. I know its not the most original idea but I just had to get it out of my system. They were originally all different patterned paper I got today at my favorite store in Chinatown. I am sad to hide the pretty paper...but this feels more like fog to me! Of course the paper that is still shows is the newspaper that was used to wrap the paper new salad bowl I also purchased.

* I will post the winner of the give away tomorrow...I am just too darn tired right now!

And Bingo was His Name-o Give-Away

Sour
Geez...I think little Bingo had too much of that sour candy. Just a funny little doodle for Illustration Friday. The topic is sour. The idea comes from a photo I found when I did a search for sour candy on Google Images. I love that, its such a handy tool! The illustration was created on a Bingo card that I covered with a dress pattern.
I am not going to put this in my Etsy Shop this week. The sales have been great so thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support. Instead, in honor of the fourth of July, I am going to do a GIVE-AWAY. If you would like it, please leave a message on my blog and tell me why you would like it. I will choose my fav. answer at the end of the week.

Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July!

It's So Hot...I Can Only Think About Yeties

Fierce This is for Illustration Friday and the topic is "Fierce". I wish I was stuck in a snowstorm right now. It's hot and I only have Yeti on my brain, I have been waiting for the perfect topic. I even have been designing a stuffed version. This is another bingo card with layers of a dress pattern on top. I kept it really simple and cute. The color is only added via the "snow".

Hoard

Now that's one really big acorn. This is for Illustration Friday. The topic is "Hoard" and this squirrel found one large acorn that will keep 'em going all winter long.
This collage was created on a Bingo card with many layers of the tissue from a dress pattern. I was going for a more vintage look, I even rounded the corners. It was fun to play and just keep it really simple.

Knock. Knock.

Punchline

Who doesn't like a good Knock Knock joke? This is for Illustration Friday. The topic is "Punchline". Just something fun for this rainy Saturday. The Brooklyn WWKIP Day at the Brooklyn Museum steps was so much fun. We had a really nice turn out. I didn't make it out to Renegade due to the rumors of rain...its good to trust your instincts! If anyone went, I am curious to know how it was.

Wide Open Spaces

Wide

Some people travel far and WIDE to spread such a simple message.

This is for Illustration Friday. The topic is "Wide"... like my not so subtle hint. This is in my Moleskine. I wanted to keep it simple again this week, I am trying to get back to my more "artistic" roots. I started by simply drawing a truck but I couldn't stop myself from attacking my paper stash. I also think the movie Into the Wild has really gotten to me. Talk about wide open spaces...

Batteries Not Included

Electricity

This is for Illustration Friday. The topic is "Electricity". This guy is plugged in...he is not going so far! I needed to take a break form bingo cards and bunnies. I even was planning on taking this week off but I couldn't get this image out of my head. It's just a simple drawing in my Moleskin, that I just don't work in enough. Awhile ago I had glued the old dress pattern down I think partly to use up scraps I would have thrown away and to also hide marker that had come through the other side. I like to preprep my sketch book, I am not one to work on a blank page.

Garden Dresses

Seed

This original collage was created for Illustration Friday. The topic was "Seed". The faces are actual seeds and the dresses are pieces of seed packaging. It was created on a vintage Bingo card with paint, paper and marker. I have been totally inspired by these for the last two weeks...this is my own bunny version.
It is for sale here.

Wrinkles the Dog

Wrinkles

This was created for "Illustration Friday". The topic was "Wrinkle". It is an original collage on vintage Bingo card. He just popped in to say "Woof!", which is hello in doggy language, in case you were wondering. The image was created with paper, marker and paint.

Primitive Pink Dino

Primative
